Queensland Cricket Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to our very own Leia Williams for receiving the Queensland Cricket Volunteer of the Month Award for February 2023.

Leia joined our committee in mid 2022 and has started with a bang.  She built our fantastic new club website and has taken over and overhauled the club's social media and digital presence, making it much easier for new players to find our club and get the information they need when google searching.  Our new website not only looks great it has also opened doors and helped us secure new club sponsorships.

Leia has also been heavily involved in running our canteen on Friday evenings while our Junior Blasters program is running, plus co-ordinating and taking the lead on maintenance and infrastructure projects, like our training net repair and re-furbishment project, plus our clubhouse upgrade project.  

She is always thinking outside the square in looking to make our Club the best it can be, grow club juniors and our female space. Thanks Leia!
