Junior Cricket

When does the Townsville junior cricket season run?

The Townsville Cricket junior season runs from early October to February each year and includes a 6 week break over Christmas/New Year.

How old do kids need to be to play cricket?

We run our Woolworths Cricket Blast sessions with children as young as 5.

What equipment do I need to supply?

All equipment is supplied for our Woolworths Cricket Blast sessions for children aged 5-10. Children playing in the Townsville Cricket junior competitions will need to supply their own cricket kit. Refer to our Junior Cricket page for a full list.

Where is the best place to buy my child's cricket kit?

Not all cricket bats are created equal so it can pay to do your research. We recommend speaking with a specialty cricket store such as Keith Dudgeon Cricket Specialist or the Greg Chappell Cricket Centre.

What are the registration fees?

Junior registration fees range from $180-$240 per season depending on age group. Refer to our Registration Fees page for more details and inclusions.

Senior Cricket

When does the Senior Cricket season in Townsville run?

The Townsville cricket senior competition runs from September to March.

What are the registration fees?

Senior registration fees are $600. Refer to our Senior cricket page for more details and inclusions.

Can I join Brothers Cricket Club mid season?

Yes you can subject to team availability. Pro-rata registration fees may also be available. Contact us to discuss your situation.

Who do I speak to if I have more questions about playing or volunteering at the club?

Can I use the cricket nets at the club outside of scheduled training sessions?

We have one training net available that is not locked and can be used outside of training hours. Our locked training nets can be accessed by members subject to approval.
